Never trust a four-year-old an iPad

Today Stephen seemed to be feeling a bit better which was good but he still had a temperature so clearly is still not there yet. He’s also still lethargic, lightheaded and feeling not himself.

After breakfast we built James’s Lego. It was his birthday gift from his friend Joe and he loved it! He kept talking about the good guy and bad guys and then wanted to do a thank you video. So sweet.

Once James had completed his Lego he took it off to the cardboard fort to play with. He didn’t play in there for long but the short time he did was lovely.

After lunch we did some more drawing tutorials – we drew a penguin and a dinosaur called Nancy. Genevieve then also drew Belle and Ariel using different “how to” videos. They are fab! She’s really getting good at these and they are so lovely. I’m going to keep them all and put them in a special book for her.

Stephen had to have a lie down. We took full advantage while he slept and wrapped his presents and wrote his cards. The kids love a secret mission.

After the secret mission we watched Frozen II again. We only had the film rented for 48 hours so needed to make the most of it.

Today I was productive and made flapjacks while Grandma Lindsey babysat the kids during her FaceTime chat. The flapjacks weren’t very successful at first – I had to cook them longer and line the tin which was a bit of faff but the end result was delicious.

At some point during the day, James sneaked off to play with my iPad. No idea how but there are a lot of selfies as evidence, and some are even quite good! Here are a couple of the best. Lol.

Stephen’s second surprise was delivered today. A bunch of my favourite flowers – gerberas. They’ve taken pride of place on the kitchen table.
