I went for a morning run and achieved more PBs which was great. At the moment going out for a run is hard. I don’t feel like going most of the time and feel bad about leaving Stephen with the kids when he doesn’t feel well. But once I’m out and doing it, and when I get home again, I feel so, so good. It makes it all worth the effort. At the moment running is one of the few places I feel really happy and like I’m doing something for myself.
Once I was back from my run I took the kids out to see the friendly neighbourhood monkey. Today he was building a brick wall on his driveway. Where will they park their car now?!
We got back home and Genevieve did her Beaver challenge for the week – a Scouting colouring sheet for key workers and a labelled a map of the British Isles. She actually wanted to do this so it was easy for once. It also inspired us to do another challenge – some Indonesian wax resist paintings. We took the idea from her coding challenge yesterday and she loved it. James wanted to get involved too, of course. It was fine while they weren’t arguing over the paintbrushes, but that didn’t last very long. It’s fairly standard to have at least one argument during any activity at the moment. The pictures looked fantastic though.
After Grandma Lindsey chat time things took a downward turn. James had an epic tantrum. It was probably the worst he has ever had. He screamed so much he made himself wretch. It was horrific and lasted probably an hour.

By the time we had dealt with that both Stephen and I were both monumentally broken. More so than before. By the time he was in bed, we had dinner and were in bed by 9.15pm. Not a nice way to end the day.
